This policy explains what information Swapify collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Swapify is a marketplace where members trade items, so some information is shared with other members to make trading possible.
Information we collect
When you create an account and use Swapify, we collect:
- Account details: your email address and the username you choose
- Listing details: item titles, descriptions, categories, and the photos you upload
- Trading activity: offers you send or receive, accepts, declines, and cancellations
- Comments and reviews you post
- Listing engagement: how many members viewed or saved a listing
- Payment information: the fact that you have a saved card on file
Payment cards
Card details you save are stored and processed by our payment provider, not by Swapify. Swapify never stores your full card number or card details on its own servers. We only keep a reference so we can charge the $0.99 listing fee when you post a listing.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate your account and let you sign in
- Show your listings, comments, and reviews to other members
- Run the trading flow between members
- Charge listing fees to your saved card
- Show owners how many members viewed or saved their listings
- Keep the marketplace safe by enforcing our rules against prohibited items and misuse
What other members can see
Swapify is a members-only marketplace: listings, profiles, and photos are visible to signed-in members, subject to visibility rules. Other members can see your username, your listings and photos, comments you post, reviews you write, and your follow or recommendation activity beside listings. Your email address and payment details are never shown to other members.
Sharing outside Swapify
Listings can be shared to social networks using a public link to the listing. Sharing a link shows the listing only to members who sign in; it does not expose your photos, email, or other private details to the public. We do not sell member information.
Voice comments
If you use speech-to-text to write a comment, the audio you record is converted to text by our transcription service and used only to produce the comment text. Voice recordings are not published as audio.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and listings; records tied to completed trades are kept so trade history stays intact. You can also delete your own listings, comments, and reviews individually.
Children
Swapify is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Swapify evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
